When you first visit the Amalfi Coast, it will take your breath away, leaving you speechless for a moment! The Amalfi Coast is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes—untamed and unspoiled beauty that welcomes countless tourists throughout the year. The breathtaking scenery embodies elements of world-class art, history, and culture. This part of Italy’s Campania region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Amalfi Coast is famous worldwide as Italy’s most beautiful and iconic coastline, home to renowned towns like Amalfi and Positano. The village of Amalfi is the heart of the coast, surrounded by charming small towns, each with unique characteristics and traditions: Positano, Maiori, Minori, Ravello, Atrani, Praiano, and Vietri are just a few of the many picturesque places to explore and discover in search of unforgettable experiences.

Its rich history and natural beauty have made this village an important destination for tourists from all over Europe. Amalfi is connected to its neighbor Atrani by a small pedestrian tunnel carved directly into the cliff that separates the two villages.

First and foremost, be sure to visit the Cathedral of St. Andrew the Apostle—the main attraction of this Italian resort. Afterward, feel free to stroll through the town’s charming alleys, where you’ll discover unique souvenir shops.

Positano on the Amalfi Coast

Positano is home to the world-renowned Church of Santa Maria Assunta, located in the charming Piazza del Duomo. Its imposing stone facade and towering bell tower give it the appearance of a fortress. The church’s dome is covered in colorful majolica tiles, but its true masterpiece is the handcrafted Byzantine icon, "The Black Madonna with Child."

The church was built around 1400, followed by several reconstructions. These can be seen on the main facade (1636) and on the two side facades—one from the 15th century on the left side and the other from the 16th century on the right. The interior features a Latin cross layout with three naves and three apses. Six monolithic columns, three on each side, made of pink marble and crowned with ornate capitals, support the central nave.

The exterior facade is adorned with a small rose window and two single, light-colored windows. In front of the cathedral, visitors can admire a 16th-century Baroque-style fountain, built on a circular terrace surrounded by four beautiful fountains.

Capri captivates at first sight—how else can you explain the fact that this tiny Italian island in the Tyrrhenian Sea (just 10 square kilometers!) has inspired poets like Bunin and Merezhkovsky, while Mayakovsky himself compared it to a "woman in a pink bonnet"? The island has played host to nearly every “hero of their time.” Leonid Andreyev and Maxim Gorky, Le Corbusier and Somerset Maugham, Oscar Wilde and Winston Churchill all found inspiration here. The beauty of Capri was immortalized on canvas by Ivan Aivazovsky. According to Homer, it was on these cliffs that sweet-voiced sirens lured sailors to their doom.

Today, the island is the epitome of luxury and leisure, a haven of upscale restaurants and lavish villas. Famous designers, Hollywood superstars, and the ultra-wealthy flock here in search of relaxation befitting their status. Countless tourists arrive every day, eager to catch even a fleeting glimpse of this dream made real.

The main attraction of Sorrento is its natural beauty: stunning landscapes, the sea, lush greenery, and rejuvenating air. This resort is perfect for those looking to combine relaxation and beach time with a fascinating sightseeing experience. Here, you should unwind and savor life—perhaps by strolling through lemon groves to reach charming fishing villages and enjoying a plate of pasta with clams. By the way, lemons are a symbol of Sorrento, and the local ones are much larger than those we’re used to. Citrus trees grow everywhere, filling the area with an incredible aroma.
